A total of 104 prizes were awarded across three outreach activity categories of the 33rd Macao International Fireworks Display Contest during a ceremony on Sunday at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo.
The event was held during the 14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE), which also concluded on that day.
The awards were given out across the outreach categories of “Student Drawing Contest”, “Photo Contest” and “AI Generative Art Contest”, with the latter being a category that made its debut last year.
According to a statement from MGTO released on the event day, a total of 2,635 entries were submitted by 1,567 participants, with the 104 award-winning works chosen from 812 student drawings, 1,175 photos and 648 AI-generated works. Prizes comprised first, second, third and merit awards across the three main categories.
MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes delivered a speech at the event, noting that each of the works embodied the passion and imagination of their respective creators for Macau and the fireworks contest.
