The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) will be hosting its annual free-admission international cultural carnival this Saturday on its Ilha Verde Campus at 14-17 Estrada Marginal da Ilha Verde, (青洲河邊馬路14-17號), with more than 30 stalls to be set up for the one-day event.

Kicking off at 3 p.m. and lasting until 6 p.m., the statement said that stalls at the “USJ International Cultural Carnival 2026″ will offer food from various cultures, games and cultural activities, with the event organised by students and staff representing over 50 nationalities, according to a statement on the USJ website.

Following an on-campus parade in the university courtyard, other highlights include an art and science installation “Guardians of the Mangroves”, performances that range from those by bands to Myanmar traditional dance and the African Costumes Fashion Show, as well as workshops, according to the themed website with the event’s programme.

Moreover, the statement noted that families and prospective students will also be able to explore the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes available at the private Catholic university via the academic information booths set up that day. The statement said that the event also aims to offer members of the public a chance to experience the university’s multicultural environment while “fostering meaningful connections between international students and the local Macau community”.
