Integrated resort operator MGM and Chef Nic Holdings Limited announced in a joint statement last night that they will be together donating HK$5 million to provide emergency assistance to those affected by the major fire at Hong Kong’s Tai Po Wang Fuk Court, aiming to help residents “rebuild their lives and restore a sense of normalcy”.
The donation will be in the name of the MGM Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest 2025, adding that they are deeply saddened by the calamity. “Our hearts are with the people of Hong Kong, and we extend our sincerest condolences to all affected residents”, the statement said.
Meanwhile, the statement noted that the MGM Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest 2025 slated for this weekend will be held under “a respectfully adapted atmosphere, uniting music and gastronomy to deliver comforting and positive energy”, aiming to channel collective empathy into “heartfelt blessings – for peace to the departed, and strength to those who carry on”.
