The Macau Delegation of the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC) recently hosted its 2025 Gala Dinner at Fundação Oriente’s (FO) Casa Garden headquarters.
According to a CCILC statement on Friday, among the attendees were the Chamber’s Board of Directors President Carlos Álvares and Sam Lei Chou Sam, Member of the Board of Directors of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) on behalf of Secretary for Economy and Finance Anton Tai Kin Ip.
Lei, as summarised in the statement, highlighted CCILC’s “pivotal role in advancing bilateral trade” and said he was confident about the chamber’s “capacity to serve as a strategic conduit for Portuguese enterprises within the evolving landscape” of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
“With over three decades of history, CCILC remains steadfast in its mission to strengthen commercial and economic ties between China and Portugal, while actively supporting enterprises from Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking countries operating in the region”, the statement said.
In addition to the dinner, the night featured musical performances as well as a certificate presentation. Other guests included business leaders and institutional partners.
