The “hush! Beach Concert x Urban Sports Festival 2025” will be held from next Saturday to Sunday, October 18 and 19, at Hac Sa Beach and the adjacent Temporary Green and Leisure area, featuring a six-stage marathon-style pop music gig with 50 bands, combined with outdoor physical challenges and sports zones on the grassland, aiming to create an urban sports and music extravaganza on the island.

The two-day event, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) in conjunction with integrated resort operator MGM, which will include a variety of activities to be set up onsite, including water yoga, musical theatre parent-child parades, art installations, food and creative markets, instrument experiences, and workshops, aims to cater to the diverse preferences and needs of residents and tourists alike, allowing them to experience Macau’s unique cultural blend of East and West, according to a statement by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).

According to the statement, the beach concert will feature 40 local bands and musicians as the main performers, alongside 10 non-local acts including the Chinese mainland’s “SUMMERWARZ”, South Korean music group “Balming Tiger”, Japanese rapper “Shing02”, musical prodigy “Feng E” and the all-female metal band “MakeMake” from China’s Taiwan region, South Korea’s bassist “H.J.Freaks”, emerging Japanese rock band “muque”.

Meanwhile, over 30 Asian professional fitness and yoga instructors will participate as instructors, such as Hong Kong artist and dance instructor FatBoy@ERROR, South Korean CrossFit star Amotti, popular dancer Gun Gun from Thailand and others, who will conduct courses of varying intensities and types, e.g. the Gong Bath* and the physically challenging HYROX PFT** test and others.

IC President Deland Leong Wai Man said in a speech yesterday at MGM COTAI that this year’s event has newly added community promotions and campus patrol performances to bring pop music closer to residents, aiming to provide students with more opportunities to engage with band culture up close. Leong also said she hoped residents will become a new force supporting the local music scene.

In order to facilitate travel to Hac Sa Beach for everyone, free shuttle bus services will be available next Saturday and Sunday between Hac Sa Beach and three departure points: Iao Hon, Fai Chi Kei, and Taipa during the event, and admission to the “hush! Beach Concert” is free, while some peripheral activities require registration through the “Activity Registration” on the Macao One Account activity.mo.gov.mo/activity-h5. The registration deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.
