The Tap Siac Craft Market in Spring will kick off next Thursday, with over 200 handicraft and gastronomy stalls and 47 music performances to be featured in its two-week run.
The fair will first be held from April 24 to 27 and again from May 1 to May 4.
Tap Siac is the bureau’s spelling of Tap Seac.
The craft market is scheduled to launch with an opening ceremony at 6 p.m. on April 24, which will feature Lily Chan (陳潔麗), a singer from Hong Kong who, according to yesterday’s statement by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), is known as the “Hi-Fi Queen” and “Anime Song Diva”, to be a guest performer.
Chan, according to Wikipedia, was born in Guangzhou.
The statement said that Chan is one of the IFPI* top 10 female artistes by album sales. She has released multiple solo albums and held over 20 solo concerts across Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou since debuting in 2007, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, during the craft market, the statement said that fairgoers will be able to explore stalls by cultural creative practitioners from the mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan as well as Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand each week. They can also watch performances by performers from Macau, the mainland, and Hong Kong.
A total of 65 workshops will also be held, with successful applicants reminded to arrive on time.
Members of the public can visit the fair from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the weekends. More information can be found on www.craftmarket.gov.mo and www.icm.gov.mo, as well as by visiting www.facebook.com/MacaoCraftMarket
