The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) said in a recent statement that a delegation from the Dai Hengqin Development Co. Ltd. visited them on Wednesday to “promote linkages”.

The company has over 12 incubation and office complexes under its management in Hengqin and elsewhere in Zhuhai, according to the statement.

The statement noted that the delegation was led by the company’s Industrial Development Department Executive Deputy Director Monica Jiang Xin. Exchanges were conducted with USJ’s Faculty of Business and Law and the Office of the Students and Alumni Affairs.

The statement said that Jiang introduced the services provided to overseas talents, entrepreneurs and recent graduates wanting to start their own business or choose to work in one of over 950 companies that the company serves.

The statement added that Talent Services Senior Manager Howard Zhou (周宇澄) introduced the 3rd Annual “Hengqin International Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition” (open for registration until 4 p.m. on June 30), inviting USJ staff and students to enter the contest, which has a potential prize of 100 million yuan (114 million patacas) for the winner.

Meanwhile, the company’s Senior Recruitment Manager Jiang Jifa also encouraged USJ graduates to avail themselves of the company’s recruitment and career matching services, the statement said.

Jiang also introduced the opportunities available to USJ, as well as invited researchers and staff with “high potential projects” for development and collaboration with the company in the future.

The statement said that a guided tour of the laboratories and facilities on USJ’s Ilha Verde campus and at its Institute of Science and Environment in Nape were also held.
