French cognac producer Hennessy has recently launched a new collection of limited editions to celebrate the Chinese New Year (CNY) and welcome the Year of the Horse.
The collection features Hennessy V.S.O.P, Hennessy X.O, and Hennessy Paradis that each have a “dynamic interpretation of the horse”, according to a recent Hennessy statement.
“Paradis” is French for “Paradise”.
The design is rendered in metallic copper tones and deep mineral pigments and is grounded in a flowing red palette. Moreover, the sculpted forms and open spaces invite engagement, with the interaction aiming to reflect the complexity and evolving character of Hennessy’s cognacs, according to the statement.
“Designed to evoke both movement and meaning, it is a celebration of bright perspectives and the momentum that defines the Year of the Horse”, the statement noted.
Hennessy’s connection to China began in 1859, when the company first shipped 12 crates of Old Pale Cognac, according to the statement. Over the years, Hennessy has celebrated Chinese culture through various festivals, milestones, and creative collaborations. Each initiative serves as a testament to their enduring relationship, the statement said.
Hennessy Chief Marketing Officer Vincent Montalescot was quoted by the statement as saying that the Year of the Horse is a moment of awakening that “symbolises freedom, new perspectives, and forward momentum – values that speak deeply to our own story. Through this collection, we honour over 160 years of shared history with China and celebrate the cultural energy that continues to inspire us.”
Hennessy is headquartered in the town of Cognac, southwestern France.
