The Irish pop group Westlife will perform with The Macao Orchestra next February, according to a statement released by The Londoner Macao on Friday.
The “Westlife: A Gala Evening in Macao” is scheduled to take place on February 7 at The Londoner Arena. The statement said the performance will feature the group’s classic hits reinterpreted with orchestral arrangements, alongside new music.
Ticket sales started at 12 noon yesterday through Cotai Ticketing, Damai, and Macau Ticketing. Prices range from 799 patacas for C Reserve to 2,099 patacas for VIP seats.
According to the statement, the concert is part of the group’s 25th anniversary celebrations. It follows similar orchestral shows they performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall in October, with the Macau date marking the first time this special format will be staged in Asia.
The statement noted that Westlife have achieved 14 number-one singles in the UK and has sold over 55 million records worldwide. The upcoming performance will include their classic songs as well as new tracks from their forthcoming album “25 – The Ultimate Collection” set for release next year.
