The FIBA 3X3 Macau Masters 2025, one of the tournaments in the FIBA 3X3 World Tour series, is slated to take place this weekend on Wynn Palace’s outdoor lawn in Cotai, which will feature 16 top international teams vying for the championship title and a total prize pool of US$185,000 (1.48 million patacas).

Co-organised by the Sports Bureau (ID) and StarMac Entertainment & Production Ltd, under the authorisation of the Geneva-based International Basketball Federation (FIBA), as well as supported by the Macau-China Basketball Association and Chaiioi Sports Company Ltd, the tournament programme was revealed during a press conference yesterday at the Sports Bureau in Zape

Among those attending the press conference were the bureau’s Acting President Mok Chi Hang, StarMac CEO Rio Lou Kit Long, Macau-China Basketball Association President Wu Chong Fai, and Chief Marketing Officer of Wynn Macau Zoe Zou Wenyu.

According to a statement by the bureau yesterday, the two-day competition will gather the world’s best 3x3 basketball teams, including Team Ub, Team Miami, Team Liman and Team Chongming, ranked first, second, fifth and seventh globally.

Speaking to the Post, Lou said the competition will open with an opening ceremony and qualification rounds on the first day, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and final on the second day.

“The FIBA 3x3 Masters represents the highest level of the world tour. We are proud to bring this event to Macau,” Lou said, adding that in addition to the main tournament, audiences can enjoy a slam dunk contest and a three-point shooting challenge between matches.

Tickets go on sale today at noon via WeChat and at the venue, with limited availability. More information can be found on worldtour.fiba3x3.com/2025/macau.
