The government’s Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) announced in a statement yesterday that it has organised 10 local fashion brands to participate in Hong Kong’s CENTRESTAGE.
CENTRESTAGE, the statement noted, is Hong Kong’s premier international fashion event organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). The four-day event taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre ends tomorrow. The exhibition features six thematic zones and has attracted over 260 brands from 25 countries and regions. It is open to both industry professionals and the general public free of charge.
CPTTM said in the statement that it aims to leverage Macau’s participation in CENTRESTAGE as a platform to increase international exposure for local brands, thereby expanding their export channels and opportunities for global collaboration. On Wednesday afternoon, a dedicated “Macao Fashion Parade” was held to showcase the creativity and design talent of these brands, the statement said.
The statement pointed out that, in addition to hosting a dedicated fashion parade, a Macao Pavilion branded exhibition zone has been set up at the event, featuring multiple buyer negotiation sessions. Over 100 clothing and accessory designs from Macau are being showcased to buyers and visitors from around the world, including women’s wear, Chinese-style formal attire, and modern accessories, the statement said.
According to the statement, local brands participating in the exhibition comprise ALTA BELLA, C/W COLLECTIVE, Demi*D, Earlyink, ella épeler, LA FINE, MJADE, SHEFEELING, Yukwa, and XU’S. These brands, the statement said, all passed the rigorous selection process of a professional jury and, consequently, are qualified to take part in the exhibition due to their unique design concepts and outstanding creative capabilities.
