Liu Yu (劉煜) has been appointed as the director of the Public Relations Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR), succeeding Yin Shuhua (殷樹華), according to a brief report published by the Chinese-language Macao Daily News on its online instant news platform yesterday.
Macao Daily News is Macau’s top selling Chinese-language newspaper, which also runs online instant news.
Yesterday’s report by the newspaper did not provide any further information about Liu.
According to previous local Chinese-language media reports, Yin took office as the director of the Liaison Office’s Public Relations Department in March 2021.
The Public Relations Department is one of the various departments in the MSAR Liaison Office’s organisational structure, which includes Publicity and Culture Department, Economic Department, Social Work Department, Police Liaison Department, Community Associations Liaison Department, and Education and Youth Work Department.
