SJM Resorts said in a statement on Thursday that it has unveiled a new season for its ballet-inspired residency “The Adventures of ALICE @ Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau”, with performances set through late August.

Following its spring debut, the show features professionally trained ballerinas from Macau and elsewhere in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as overseas, all chosen through open auditions, the statement said. The new season, which started on Saturday, sees four more local ballerinas joining the residency, which is performed at Grand Lisboa Palace’s (GLP) 360-degree Atrium Stage.

The production continues to be choreographed and directed by Septime Webre, a renowned Ballet Artistic Director and Choreographer, and is under the guidance of Ballet Master Wei Wei. It also features an original score by Hong Kong composer Ng Cheuk-yin, lighting by lighting designer Mak Kwok Fai and costumes by Cirque du Soleil’s Liz Vandal.

Aside from the performance, the statement added that audiences have a chance to interact with characters during “Alice’s Fantasy Parade” held after the show, and join the “Wander at Wonderland” to have the opportunity to get the “Alice-themed photo booth experience”.

The statement said that one can also explore “Alice’s Dream Wonderland” on Level 2 retail area, and the “Alice’s Enchanted Garden” installations on Level 3’s Jardim Secreto (“Secret Garden”), while children can design their own themed candles during the “Sand Painting Candle Workshop” at GLP Arte on Sunday.

The show is held every Thursday through Sunday until August 31 (excluding August 28 & 29) at 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. More details can be found on
