A woman who drove her female friend, who had been drinking, home in the latter’s car left the scene after crashing the car into the roadside barriers in the Guia Hill area last week, and the friend then drove her car away from the scene, with neither reporting the crash to the police, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Kam Ka Kit said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Kam identified the car owner as a 30-year-old surnamed Ho who told the police that she works as an administrative supervisor. The woman who was driving Ho home and crashed the car is a 30-year-old surnamed Choi who told the police that she is a designer. Both are locals.
Loud bang
According to Kam, in the early hours of Saturday, a resident in Rua Nova à Guia heard a loud bang outside and looked into the street. The resident saw that a woman got out of the driver’s side of a car and walked towards Hotel Royal, while at the same time another woman got out of the front passenger side of the car, stood a scooter, that had fallen over, upright at the roadside, and then got into the car on the driver’s side and drove away. The resident realised that the two women left the scene after a traffic accident and therefore reported the case to the police.
