The Macao Pátio do Espinho Friends Association and the Macao Sam Pa Mun Friends Association held a market named “Halloween Adventure Market” in Camões Garden on Saturday.
According to a statement released on Saturday, the event aimed to encourage parents and children to unleash their creativity, dress up in different Halloween costumes, and take part in community activities together.
Through games and interaction in a fun and relaxing environment, families were able to create happy memories, strengthen parent-child relationships, promote family harmony, and foster a more inclusive community, the statement said, adding that the event also featured themed game booths, creative workshops, face painting, and temporary tattoos for residents of different ages.
An event titled “Halloween Costume Catwalk” was also held during the market, according to the statement, which attracted more than 100 children and families to register.
Participants appeared in a wide variety of imaginative costumes, including pumpkins, ghosts, and wizards, sharing the festive spirit with their families, the statement said. It added that the Macao Pátio do Espinho Friends Association mascot, “Dim Dim”, also interacted with visitors and handed out sweets during the event, receiving an enthusiastic response from children.
In the statement, the organisers considered the event a success, with the strong participation of local families reflecting the community’s growing interest in family-orientated and festive activities.
The event achieved its goals of encouraging parent-child interaction, strengthening connections among residents, and promoting community cohesion, the statement said, adding that the association will continue to organise activities for seniors, families, and the wider community, providing more opportunities for residents to participate, connect, and enjoy meaningful moments together.
