The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in a statement on Wednesday that “hush! Beach Concerts x Urban Sports Wellfest 2026” will launch a series of preliminary activities at various locations from November 3 ahead of the main event at Hac Sa Beach on November 14 and 15, featuring music workshops, rap masterclasses, community performances, and beachside sports activities.
Jointly organised by the bureau and integrated resort operator MGM, the event will bring together local and international musicians, DJs, and performers through activities designed to promote music creation, cultural exchange, and community participation, the statement said.
Hong Kong pianist, arranger, and composer Joyce Cheung (張貝芝) will present the “From Classical to Jazz” music-sharing session, followed by a trio performance on the “Music Chill” stage during the main event, the statement said, adding that Chinese mainland rapper Zhao Hong, known professionally as J-Fever, will lead the “Freestyling Everything” rap masterclass and the “Hip-Hop Music and Life” campus workshop, and perform at the “Oriental Rap” prelude concert.
Local musician Pun Kuan Pou will lead young musicians in creating a “pop-rock hush!” theme song combining Chinese and Western instruments, accompanied by the production of a music video, the statement said, adding that Terence Kuong (鄺梓兵), aka DJ SAIYAN, will conduct a workshop on electronic music and DJ techniques, while musicians Jason Chang (曾慶欣) and Wan Si Lok will guide students in creating music with the assistance of AI.
Community activities will include the “Rock Hop Express – Macau Music City Tour Trilogy”, the statement noted, adding that the programme will feature an open-top double-decker bus tour highlighting local music and urban stories, mobile rock performances at public spaces, and live music at cafés, bars, and other venues across the city.
At Hac Sa Beach, the “Run • Sing • Play” activity will combine light jogging, musical challenges, and beach games, the statement noted, underlining that “DIWA ELECTRONIC” will return for the third consecutive year with DJ and street dance performances and an interactive illuminated dance floor.
Admission to the November 14–15 main event is free, although some workshops and masterclasses require registration through the “Activity Applications” section of Macao One Account or MGM Ticketing, the statement said, adding that further details are available at www.icm.gov.mo/hush and through the event’s official social media accounts and MGM’s website.
