There are only three days left to enjoy Macau designer and artist Au Chon Hin’s solo exhibition “ROAM IN PLAY and WE CAN FLY” exhibition taking place at the free-admission Amagao Gallery in Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau in Zape.

Using play as its starting point and gathering over 50 artworks on display in an exhibition that encourages interaction, a recent statement from the Macau hotel operator noted that the colourful exhibition explores “the relationship between play, design and the way people experience their surroundings, creating an open environment that encourages visitors to engage with the works and interpret them in their own way”.

The exhibition, co-curated by 1844 Macau Photography Art Space Association President and Curator Ieong Man Pan and Amagao Gallery Director and Curator Victor Marreiros, features paintings, prints and sculptures, alongside blocks both in miniature and oversized forms, installations, and photo spots for families and children to explore, the statement said.

The exhibition also highlights the idea of “returning to the innocence of childhood, when creativity was driven by curiosity rather than rule”, noting that through Au and his creations, a fantasy scene is created where “imagination is free to move and creativity has no fixed boundaries”.

The statement quoted Au as saying: “I hope that when you enter this space, you can step away from the rules of everyday life and rediscover a little imagination, a little curiosity and the pure joy we once had.”

Members of the public can continue to visit the showcase until Sunday, being open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The exhibition-themed afternoon delights at Café Bela Vista also continue to be on offer from 3:00 p.m. through 5:30 p.m. until the exhibition ends.

This photo recently provided by Artyzen Grand Lapa shows some of the exhibits displayed at its Amagao Gallery in Zape for the ongoing solo exhibition “ROAM IN PLAY and WE CAN FLY”.
