Around 300 Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) staff and their children took part in the recently held “GEG Family Cares Summer Programme”, with the event featuring a raft of parent-child activities.
The integrated resort operator said in a statement yesterday that among the activities featured were the “Become a Movie Theater Star for a Day” experience at Galaxy Cinemas at Galaxy Macau in Cotai, where children were able to experience a day in the life of cinema staff, gaining firsthand insight.
Young participants were guided by staff, along with their parents, in experiencing ticketing, F&B and ushering duties. They were also able to watch a movie with their parents, offering an operational and guest perspective, according to the statement.
Culinary and pastry operations were also presented through the “Create Your Own Chocolate Masterpiece” workshop at Hotel Okura Macau, which was guided by professional pastry chefs from Galaxy Macau’s Central Kitchen, the statement said.
Meanwhile, the “Play, Explore & Bond Together” activity invited families to visit the “Galaxy Kidz Edutainment Center” for its of family-friendly recreational and interactive facilities, as well as to learn through play via the experiences on offer, the statement said. Parents and children also created Macau-inspired Portuguese-style tile coasters and hand-painted non-woven bags during the event, according to the statement.
Moreover, the statement noted that the workshop enabled participants to “learn about Macau’s unique blend of Chinese and Western cultures through locally inspired artistic elements”.
