According to a Xinhua News Agency report dated May 28, the contest was organised by the China Student Sports Federation (CSSF), which attracted about 1,500 athletes, coaches, referees and event staff from over 200 key universities across the nation.
Kuok, according to a Zhejiang University statement announced last Tuesday, as a student of the university’s School of Medicine, won two gold medals in the women’s Group A 50-metre backstroke and 200-metre individual medley events, achieving “outstanding” results and setting new competition records in both. In the women’s Group A 4×50-metre freestyle relay and the mixed Group A 4×100-metre freestyle relay, Kuok and her teammates joined forces to break the competition records and win gold medals as well.
