Integrated resort operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) yesterday kicked off the latest exhibition at GalaxyArt in Cotai, that being “Dazzling Galaxy – Crystalline Art Exhibition”.
Located at the Galaxy Macau integrated resort and running through September 13, the exhibition displays over 60 artworks comprising signature pieces and new works from the Wu Daijie Art Studio, with the featured works showcasing translucent, crystalline materials to create artworks, which range from a variety of animals, shapes, figures and even unique furniture.
The works are displayed across four themed zones, namely “Luminosity · The Spirit of Nature”, “Luminosity · The Glow of Modernity”, “Luminosity – Beyond Void & Form”, and “Luminosity – Flowing like Water”
Addressing yesterday’s opening ceremony, GEG Director Philip Cheng Yee Sing said in his speech that the exhibition “bridges artistic expression with technological innovation, inspired by interpretations and imagination rooted in traditional Eastern culture. We believe that this brand-new exhibition will bring renewed vibrancy and creative energy to Macau’s arts and cultural scene this summer.”
Moreover, in his speech, lead artist Wu Daijie said that the exhibition acts not only as a “sharing of my personal artistic endeavours at this stage, but also a way to contribute to the popularisation of art.”
Yesterday morning’s opening ceremony was also attended by Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes; and Chan Lei Lei, director of Macao Conservatory.
