The Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) announced in a statement yesterday that the “Macao 2026 Specialised World Stamp Exhibition” will be held from June 26 to July 1 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo, striving to bring together philatelic collections and exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions.

According to the statement, the exhibition, co-organised by the bureau and the Macau Philatelic Association, will serve as an international exchange platform for stamp collectors and philatelic professionals while promoting Macau’s role as “a base for exchange and cooperation where Chinese culture is the mainstream and diverse cultures coexist”.

The exhibition marks the first Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) Specialised World Stamp Exhibition ever held in Macau and coincides with the centenary of the Zürich-based Fédération Internationale de Philatélie, the statement said.

The event aims to reflect international recognition of Macau as a destination for conventions and exhibitions with cultural vitality, while also supporting economic diversification and sustainable development, the bureau said.

According to the statement, a total of 1,500 frames of competitive philatelic exhibits from over 40 countries and regions will be displayed, covering categories such as Traditional Philately, Postal History, Modern Philately and Youth Philately.

Meanwhile, the exhibition will also feature a Treasure Gallery presenting collections from the China National Post and Postage Stamp Museum, alongside a Macao Stamp Original Archives Exhibition showcasing original manuscripts and design drafts of Macau stamps, the statement noted.

Throughout the six-day event, visitors will be able to participate in themed seminars, workshops and lucky draws, while commemorative postmark cancellation services and free commemorative envelopes or postcards will be available daily, the statement said, adding that attendees can also create and mail personalised philatelic souvenirs through DIY postcard terminals, stamp vending machines and personalised stamp printing services.

The statement also said that admission to the exhibition will be free of charge.
