The flying of unmanned aircraft or drones will be banned during the 67th APEC Tourism Working Group Meeting from June 24 to 28, the Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) announced in a statement on Wednesday.
The ban is in accordance with Paragraph 66 of the Air Navigation Regulation of Macao.
The statement noted that the ban covers a 500-metre radius around Macau Tower in Sai Van and the Complex of Commerce and Trade Cooperation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs), aka Forum Macao, in Nam Van.
According to the statement, violations will result in penalties imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority pursuant to Paragraph 2 of Article 59 of Law No. 4/2025 (Civil Aviation Activity Law).
