SJM Resorts’ “GET ON STAGE” series will next week feature three leading mixologists from the Greater Bay Area (GBA) at the MESA Bar in THE KARL LAGERFELD MACAU in Cotai.
The integrated resort operator said in a statement on Wednesday that the event, slated for May 29 to 30 from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., will feature MESA Bar Senior Mixologist Carrie Chen (陳楷儀), who is from Macau. She is the first runner-up of the Hennessy My Way Hong Kong & Macau 2025 and the China Champion of the 2024 Nordes Gin Competition, using her hometown’s “diverse cultural background” as creative inspiration.
Jennifer Ho (何京臻) from Hong Kong is the Head Mixologist at Alibi - Wine Dine Be Social, and is the Hennessy My Way Hong Kong & Macau 2025 Champion, the statement said. The statement added that she has “a particular talent for identifying subtle connections between ingredients”, standing out in various international mixology competitions.
Shenzhen’s Ring Zhao, meanwhile, is the founder of Bar Choice and the China Champion of the 8th BACARDÍ Legacy Cocktail Competition and a Global Top 9 finalist of the Hennessy My Way 2021. The statement noted that she is “dedicated to connecting China’s intangible cultural heritage of tea art with modern bar culture”.
The women will “highlight the artistry of cognac using premium brandy from the House of Hennessy” and bring their creative visions to cognac, the statement said.
The statement said that special cocktails and mocktails are priced at 148 patacas, while a package is also available for 388 patacas.
