MGM has been recognised with six major awards at two prominent human resources competitions, underscoring its focus on employee training and development, according to a recent statement.
The integrated resort operator received three Excellence in Practice Awards from the Association for Talent Development (ATD), a leading global organisation in the field. According to the statement, MGM was the only enterprise from Macau to be honoured at the international ATD awards in Los Angeles this year, securing accolades in the categories of “Career Development”, “Customer Service Training”, and “Learning and Development”. It stood among 47 organisations worldwide to receive an award.
Concurrently, the company was honoured with three awards at the 5th National Human Resources Innovation Competition. These awards recognised its leadership in employer branding, talent development, and human resources strategy.
In the statement, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited Kenneth Feng Xiaofeng said the dual recognition reflects the company’s sustained investment in nurturing local talent and validates that its efforts are gaining acknowledgment at both international and national levels. He added that the company would continue to establish clear career development pathways for its team members.
The statement provided data on the scale of its training programmes, noting that in 2025 alone, MGM team members participated in more than 1.2 million hours of training. This averaged 88 hours per employee, a figure the company stated places it well ahead of common industry benchmarks.
MGM said it views talent as a cornerstone of long-term business success. Its dedicated MGM Academy will continue to foster a learning culture and collaborate with community and industry partners. The company has now accumulated more than 260 honours in the field of human resources to date, including 39 awards in the past year.
