NAAM at Artyzen Grand Lapa garners Thai Select 2-star recognition

Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau’s NAAM Thai Restaurant has recently received its third “Thai Select Award” and achieved the “Thai Select 2-star Restaurant” recognition from the Ministry of Commerce, The Royal Thai Government.

The hotel operator said in a recent statement that the award is valid for three years from December 2025 to November 2028.

The statement added that the Thai Select 2-Star Restaurant is awarded to “outstanding Thai restaurants globally that deliver excellent food quality within a beautiful and memorable setting”, being recognised for their professional service, creativity in presentation and distinctive culinary character.

The “Thai Select” symbol is granted to restaurants in type, decor, food quality, and service. A total of 1,610 restaurants in 65 countries have been recognised so far, the statement said.

The award was officially presented by Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) Deputy Director General Suparporn Sookmark and Royal Thai Consulate General (HK) Trade Commissioner Pannakarn Jiamsuchon, with Executive Thai Chef Sutthaporn Chulavachana and hotel General Manager Rutger Verschuren, along with the NAAM service and kitchen team, all representing the restaurant at an award presentation.

Naam is Thai for water.

Verschuren, Area Vice President, Macau and Hengqin of Artyzen Hospitality Group and General Manager of Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, was quoted by the statement as saying: “As one of the first Thai restaurant in Macau, NAAM has been part of the city’s dining landscape for over 20 years, it is valued for its relaxed ambiance and genuine warm hospitality. This is our third Thai Select Award, now with 2-Star recognition, is a well-deserved achievement for the entire NAAM culinary and service team.”

Executive Thai Chef Sutthaporn Chulavachana was also quoted as saying: “Receiving this recognition again is a great honour, and it motivates us to continue sharing an authentic Thai discovery with our guests.”
