The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) announced in a statement yesterday that the enquiry function of “Municipal Facilities EasyGo” will be integrated into the bureau’s website on New Year’s Day, as part of efforts to optimise electronic public services.
According to the bureau, the facility enquiry function will be merged with the designated “Nearby Facilities” webpage on the IAM website, allowing users to access information on various municipal facilities by directly scanning a QR code linked to the page.
The adjustment is intended to enhance convenience and improve the efficiency of online enquiries, the statement said, adding that as a result of the merger, the “Municipal Facilities EasyGo” signs currently installed along streets will be progressively removed.
However, the “Public Toilet Navigation” service will be retained, the statement noted. Members of the public and visitors will continue to be able to scan QR codes displayed on public toilet signs across different districts to receive directions to the nearest facilities.
IAM also stated that the “Live Images of Venues” function on its website will be terminated, with related real-time images and webpage content removed simultaneously.
The bureau said in the statement that it will continue to align with the local government’s development of electronic governance and further enhance digital services based on public usage and needs.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to obtain the latest municipal information and access e-services through the IAM website at https://www.iam.gov.mo.
