The Whisky Live & Fine Spirits Macau 2025 event was held last weekend at Grand Lisboa Palace (GLP) in Cotai, according to a Tuesday statement from SJM Resorts.
According to the statement, the event was co-presented by SJM and Whisky Magazine, with support from the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO). More than 80 international brands and over 500 kinds of whisky and fine spirits were featured, and attendance exceeded 1,000 visitors.
The event was officially launched at The Grand Pavilion, attended by guests including Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Chief Officer of Hospitality of SJM Gerard Walker, and Executive Director of Whisky Magazine HK & Macau Nicholas Siu, according to the statement.
SJM Managing Director Daisy Ho Chiu-fung was quoted in the statement as saying: “Through events like Whisky Live, SJM is proud to add depth to Macau’s identity as a ‘Creative City of Gastronomy,’ bringing together masters of the culinary craft from around the globe, firmly positioning Macau as a regional hub of gastronomy excellence and highlighting its culinary heritage as a fascinating crossroads of culture and style.”
Executive Director of Whisky Magazine HK & Macau Nicholas Siu said in the statement: “This year features an even greater collection of world-class whisky brands, along with tasting sessions, creative cocktail pop-ups, and exciting interactive experiences, allowing every participant to deeply experience the diverse charm of whisky.”
The statement noted that the programme included masterclasses led by experts from distilleries including Glenfarclas and Elixir Distillers. A new Asia Bar Show featured 12 bars from across the region serving signature cocktails. Live musical performances were provided by Hong Kong DJ duo Beat Friday and jazz musician Eugene Pao (包以正).
The statement added that several SJM restaurants will offer whisky-pairing menus through February. Participating venues include Mesa by José Avillez, Don Alfonso 1890, The Kitchen, and Hua Ting.
