“Our Story” Community Exhibition 2025 is being held at the free-admission 10 Fantasia Gallery, presenting images, along with other works, by “citizen creators” to tell stories through a variety of perspectives.

The exhibition, organised by the Chinese Cultural Industries Promotion Association (CCIPA), is on until November 29 and can mainly be found in the gallery’s exhibition room B05. It features images overlayed with text. “As specific scenes fade, the words become the focal point, carrying the memories and emotions of creators within the community”, according to a recent statement on the 10 Fantasia website, adding that this enables its creators to become storytellers through their works as “a contemporary form of ‘oral history’”.

Visitors to the gallery will find scenes ranging from those set in local landmarks such as the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ruins of St. Paul’s and Taipa Village to various events and moments in everyday life in Macau. While one can find a variety of photos in colour and a few in black and white, the exhibition also features other works including a diorama and a digitally drawn piece.

“Through these subtle observations, we witness moments in this everyday space where time either settles gently or undergoes significant changes. Ultimately, all these experiences converge into our emotional connections with the community”, according to the gallery statement. The statement also noted that a community is not only a place where we live, but a place where we feel emotionally connected and share our stories together.

The gallery is located on Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro (瘋堂斜巷) and is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on Mondays.

One can find more details by visiting the gallery’s website and its Facebook page.
