Following its weekend debut, “Friends Fest” concluded with over 10,000 patacas raised for local animal charities, aiming to reinforce Macau’s growing push for human-pet integration and responsible ownership, according to a Monday statement by Conde Group.
Held at Grand Coloane Resort, the large-scale pet carnival drew families, pet owners and animal lovers for a “Waggy Weekend” of charity, education, and entertainment, the statement said, adding that the funds collected from charity booths will be donated in full to Anima Macau and the Macau Association for Stray Dogs and Animal Welfare (MASDAW) to support sterilisation, medical care, and daily care of stray animals.
Co-organised by Conde Group, Gathering and Agility Planning and Service Limited Company, and Grand Coloane Resort, the event received support from multiple government entities, the statement said, adding that it remains committed to fostering an inclusive community experience for guests and their pets and will continue to enhance its pet-related amenities and services.
Rebecca Choi (蔡美寶), director of Conde Group, thanked all participants and partners for their involvement, noting that “Friends Fest” had become “more than just an event – a true platform for community connection.”
