The Government Information Bureau (GCS) announced in a statement yesterday that Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai will deliver his 2026 Policy Address on Tuesday, November 18.
The statement said that Sam will attend a plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly (AL) starting at 3 p.m. on that day to explain the government’s policy programme for next year. Afterwards, he will give a press conference beginning at 5:30 p.m.
On November 19, Sam will attend a Q&A session in the legislature’s hemicycle to respond to lawmakers’ questions.
According to the statement, members of the public can watch the proceedings online via the local government portal; the website of the Chief Executive Office (GCE); the legislature’s website; the official GCS website; and the Policy Address webpage.
The statement said members of the public can also view proceedings via the official GCE and GCS mobile phone apps; the official GCE and GCS channels on YouTube; and via GCS’s Facebook Chinese-language news page (www.facebook.com/macaogcs).
The statement also said that members of the public also can browse the 2026 Policy Address via the GCS Facebook page for Portuguese-language news – www.facebook.com/macaogcspt – and its Facebook page for English-language news –www.facebook.com/macaogcsen.
Members of the public can also attend the policy address and Q&A session in person in the hemicycle’s public gallery.
The statement noted the schedule for the AL meetings to debate the five policy secretaries’ portfolio guidelines is as follows: the Administration and Justice portfolio on November 21; the Economy and Finance portfolio on November 24; the Security portfolio on November 26; the Social Affairs and Culture portfolio on November 28; and the Transport and Public Works portfolio on December 1.
