The latest exhibition at Hwa’s Gallery in H853 Fun Factory at Lisboeta Macau kicked off on Tuesday, presenting the original IPs (intellectual properties)* created by eight artists.

From the integrated resort’s original character to works featuring feel good messages or depicting women’s resilience, pieces for the “H853 Macau IP Artists Exhibition” are on display until November 1, with works found both inside and outside of the gallery.

Presenting each artist’s distinct art style, the IPs on showcase include Lisboeta Macau’s original IP “Nana”, a guardian representing wealth and happiness; Jessica Iong’s (楊沅喬) lovable and comforting “Mr. Bubbles”; Sam Kin Hang’s “Ho Sio Chong”, Macau’s red-eared turtle with “congenital shell syndrome” that has accepted its imperfections; and the resilient “SCAREDY CAT” by Minami Tsubame, a recent statement by Hwa’s Gallery noted.

The remaining IPs are “Pundusina”  , which finds humour in daily life and was created by Leong Kin and Lou Ka Choi; “Piepiepuu” by Keika Leong and features little trees as protagonists; “Nanara & PP Bear”, a duo telling a tale of hope and love by Yuan Ka Min; and Ben Cheong’s (張智斌) Simayo, which comprises three cats “to infuse the hustle of urban life with a soothing warmth”, according to the statement.

The exhibition creates an emotional dialogue about “companionship”, “healing”, “resonance” and “belonging”, according to the exhibition statement displayed at the gallery. Moreover, it also aims to convey the creativity and positive energy behind each IP, the recent gallery statement said.

One can view the works until November 1, with the free admission gallery open from noon to 8 p.m. daily.
