The International Youth Dance Festival 2026, organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), invites youngsters to participate, with registration open until October 22, according to a Friday statement from the bureau.
Since 1987, the festival has been held 18 times, aiming to offer young performers a platform to showcase their talent, the statement said. The upcoming festival will take place from July 17 to 23 next year, and support the government’s strategy for appropriate economic diversification and building Macau’s cultural image as a “city of performing arts”, the statement noted.
The festival aims to highlight Macau’s role as a connector between the Chinese mainland and the rest of the world, while aiming to foster exchange among youth from various regions, the statement said, adding that local students will also have a chance to expand their horizons by participating in the event.
Registration is now open; all performers must be between the ages of 13 and 35, and are all encouraged to take part, the statement said. More information can be found on the DSEDJ’s official webpage through https://portal.dsedj.gov.mo/webdsejspace/site/dance/index-e.jsp.
