The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) will hold its autumn edition of the Tap Siac Craft Market from November 20-23 and 27-30 in Praça do Tap Seac, with free applications for creative handicraft workshops open on Tuesday until August 26, according to an IC statement on Tuesday.

“Tap Siac” is the bureau’s alternate spelling of “Tap Seac”.

Held twice annually in the spring and the autumn, the bureau stated that the market is a distinctive cultural and creative event in Macau, aiming to provide a platform for practitioners to showcase and sell products, exchange ideas, and foster creativity and innovation.

The statement also said that the event aims to promote Macau’s cultural and creative products and establish a signature exhibition for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

This year’s autumn edition will feature more than 200 handicraft and creative gastronomy stalls, the statement added, which will run from Thursday to Sunday over two consecutive weeks. The statement also said that workshop proposals will be evaluated on criteria including completeness, feasibility, aesthetics, attractiveness, budget, and the applicants’ experience.

Application rules and forms are available at www.craftmarket.gov.mo. Submissions can be sent via email to apply.DPICC@icmm.gov.mo or delivered in person to the IC headquarters in Praça do Tap Seac during office hours.
