The 2025 “Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair (GMBPF)” ended yesterday, with over 100,000 visitors attending, with the first day of the expo, “Trade Buyer Day “, having drawn more than 2,000 businesspeople, including buyers, according to a statement released by the organisers yesterday evening.
The fair took place at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo Hall D, co-organised by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province.
Meanwhile, 60 product presentations and 435 business matching sessions took place during the four-day fair. Five companies signed technical cooperation deals regarding elderly care “health technology”, while 26 food and beverage (F&B) enterprises secured 15 purchasing agreements with suppliers during the fair.
Local Lek Hac Garment Factory Limited Company Manager Fanny Tang Lai Fan told reporters that this year’s fair was the fourth consecutive year of her company’s participation. She said that her company has consistently cultivated new customer segments during each time, adding that this year’s exhibition themed “Silver Economy” attracted senior citizens, three-generation families, and even students. Therefore, she said, this year’s sales reached almost “six figures”, outperforming the previous year and exceeding expectations.
Guangdong Province Arts and Crafts Master Wang Xinyuan said that it was the first time he had participated in the joint exhibition, which attracted strong interest from young fairgoers while achieving robust transaction volumes, pointing out that the highest sales price for a single piece of embroidery at the fair exceeded “six figures” . He also said that he sold more than 20 embroidery pieces during the fair, which exceeded his expectations, adding that the co-organisers were responsible for the decoration of his booth, and he did not spend any money on it.
Wang noted that he planned to establish a permanent “Guangzhou Embroidery* Art Gallery” in Macau, featuring regular workshops and school outreach programmes to promote the traditional craft.
Shenzhen Wugufang Roast Squab King Catering Planning Management Company Rayer Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Assistant Liu Lei told reporters that his enterprise achieved a turnover of more than 5,000 yuan (5,600 patacas) in sales during the four-day expo, meeting projected targets.
Kenqing Technology Oversea Business Manager Yan Zhenghan said that his company marked its inaugural participation in Macau with strong confidence in its product line, adding that his company was considering setting up an initial experience centre in Hengqin, planning to open a retail outlet spanning about 200 square metres, followed by potential expansion into Macau. The company is selling intelligent assisted walking and other robots.
Forever Harvest Corporation Director Alex Chu Kwok Tung told reporters that his company has successfully connected with Macau’s hospitality industry buyers of frozen seafood and halal-certified dry goods, with plans now underway to consider the feasibility of establishing a permanent operations base in Macau.
