M8 mall’s relaunch is slated to take place next Tuesday, complete with a string of upgrades, the debut of China Duty Free Group (CDFG) and an expanded luxury fashion boutique TFS (The Fashion Square), among others.

The mall, located just a walk up from Largo do Senado in the city centre, opened in September 2024. The building previously served as living quarters for Macao Post Office staff.

Announced in a statement yesterday, M8 said that CDFG will feature over 80 international brands ranging from cosmetics to gourmet food. It will occupy around 1,000 square metres across the ground and first floors. Meanwhile, the relaunch will also see TFS, which specialises in luxury retail, on the mall’s Level 2 expanding to Level 3.

The nine-floor mall’s Level B1 has also been turned into a multi-lifestyle zone called “M BAZAAR”, presented by Million Group Macau. Among the local and Asian brands to present their products are sandwich chain Hung Rui Chen from China’s Taiwan region; Baby Panda, which sells infant and maternity products; local independent designer brand COXY; and South Korean Brand M.CAT, which specialises in K-POP jewellery and accessories.

Moreover, inflatable installations on the mall’s exterior and rooftop garden will be showcased in the “Celebrating Social Diversity” art project themed after mainland Chinese toy IP “Bao-ao”, which marks its Macau debut, the statement noted.

Coinciding with the relaunch are a raft of discounts and promotions from the various brands, including South Korean light food restaurant “Terrace in seaside” and Thai restaurant Mango Tree.

With the approaching relaunch date, M8 said that the mall will “welcome global tourists with a brand-new look, launching a new era of cultural commercial experiences in Macau and continuously injecting innovative vitality into the city’s cultural business landscape”.
