The Cultural Affairs Bureau’s (IC) online bookshop is offering special promotions until July 31 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the inscription of the “Historic Centre of Macao” on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Historic Centre of Macao was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on July 15, 2005.

According to a recent statement from the bureau, there is a 20 percent discount on all books on the website, as well as 50 percent and 10 percent discount on back issues and recent issues of the Review of Culture respectively.

Meanwhile, the statement added that new books have been launched on the online bookshop such as “The Firecracker Industry in Taipa (Fourth Edition)” and “Focus: Integration of Art between China and the West in the 18th-19th Centuries”.

A complimentary set of “Strolling through the World Heritage sites – Postcard Collection of the Historic Centre of Macao” will also be available upon purchasing a book from the online shop, where various publications in Chinese, Portuguese and English are available, the statement noted.

The statement said that orders can be placed on the website. One can request delivery through the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau’s Express Mail Service (EMS) or pick up the books at IC’s 13 public libraries.
