The Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) said in a statement yesterday that its students took the champion, first runner-up and second runner-up positions in the tertiary category of the recent “12th Macao Student Multimedia Design Software Skills Competition”.
The “12th Macao Student Multimedia Design Software Skills Competition”, along with the “17th Macao Student Office Software Skills Competition”, were recently held by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPPTM) and the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), according to the statement, drawing 458 students to compete across four categories: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Multimedia Design.
The statement said that Bachelor of Social Work programme student Ruan Xingyu came out on top during the Adobe multimedia design contest category’s tertiary group, being set to represent Macau at the “Adobe Certified Professional World Championship” in Orlando, US, that is slated to take place between July 27-30. She will be competing against other students from around the world.
The second and third runner-up spots were meanwhile taken by Bachelor of Arts in Design students Tang Hio Cheng and Lam Wai Wa, the statement noted.
In addition to certificates, the CPTTM website said that winners of the contest will also be awarded a cash prize, with the champion set to receive 4,000 patacas in addition to a full sponsorship for the competition in Orlando.
