I was already convinced of Ne Zha 2’s phenomenal commercial and cultural success while watching it at a Macau cineplex on March 1. This fantastic film delivers not only top-notch, non-stop animation but also an entertaining crash course on Chinese culture, mythology, and spirituality.

About a week after watching the movie, I even revisited one of Macau’s two temples dedicated to Na Tcha (Ne Zha’s name in the local Cantonese dialect).
