An around 25-minute sightseeing cruise is set to sail between the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and Barra Pier, scheduled to start tomorrow.
According to a statement from the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) yesterday, the cruise route will be the first to use the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal for boarding and disembarking.
The sightseeing cruise will be operated by Shun Tak-China Travel Ship Management (Macau) Limited, the statement noted.
In its initial phase, the statement said that the cruise will have one round-trip daily. It will depart from the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal for the Inner Harbour’s Barra Pier at 10:30 a.m., while the return trip from the pier to the terminal will depart at 5 p.m. More details are available by contacting the ferry operator, according to the statement, which did not mention how to contact the operator, and neither did it reference the ticket prices.
The statement added that the bureau has been continuously upgrading the hardware and software facilities at Macau’s terminals and piers, and encouraging ferry companies and integrated resort (IRs) operators to develop more cruise routes for residents and tourists.
The space optimisation project at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal was completed in the fourth quarter last year, with the statement noting that this enables the ferry terminal to handle passenger boarding and disembarking for sightseeing cruises.
