A Macau-based international arts gallery called the “Humarish Club” held its opening ceremony last week, debuting its annual exhibition “The Journey Begins: From H853 to Contemporary Art” at the Lisboeta Macau’s H853 Shopping Mall.
In a statement by the Humarish Club that was provided by the Lisboeta Macau, the art gallery’s opening ceremony was attended by a number of guests including Macau Legislative Assembly (AL) member and Dr Stanley Ho Foundation President Angela Leong On Kei and Albergue SCM Chairman Carlos Marreiros, as well as some of the participating artists of the exhibition and the Humarish Club’s founders.
The statement pointed out that the Humarish Club is “committed to presenting the works of the most influential [mainland] Chinese artists to audiences in Macau”, as well as enabling exchanges with local artists, and “helping Macau become an important artwork trading centre around the world”.
The “The Journey Begins: From H853 to Contemporary Art” has gathered artworks from contemporary mainland Chinese artists Zhou Chunya, Ding Yi, Xue Song, Zheng Zaidong and Li Qiang, the statement noted.
The exhibition is located at the Humarish Club (R82-R83) in the H853 Shopping Mall and is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Sunday until February 20.
