A 24-year-old mainlander was arrested for alleged sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Lei, the suspect surnamed Chen told the police that he is a businessman. The victim studies in a secondary school in the northern district. Due to her age, the victim’s surname was not released.

According to the spokeswoman, the victim met Chen through a mobile application after which they started an online relationship last month. They had never met each other face-to-face before.
