Programme to focus on elderly mental health

2018-03-16 07:56     Comment:1

The Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations (commonly known as Kai Fong) will hold a programme next month for senior citizens to design and organise community events with the aim of raising public awareness of senior citizens’ mental health.

The association held a press conference about the annual programme – named “Golden Age Programme” – yesterday at its headquarters in Toi San district. Kong Wai Iong, who heads the group’s Social Service Committee, hosted the conference.

Kong noted that it is the 23rd year for the programme to be held, adding that the programme “has been very popular” in previous years. She urged senior citizens who are interested in the programme to participate and submit their applications.
