2017-10-20 08:04     Comment:1

Executive Council spokesman Leong Heng Teng said yesterday that the government has drafted a bill on the mandatory accreditation and licensing of social workers, with the aim of improving the quality of the services provided by social workers and reinforcing their professional image.

The bill will be submitted in due course to the Legislative Assembly (AL) for debate and vot.

Addressing a press conference at Government Headquarters, Leong said that the council, the government’s top advisory body, had completed its discussion of the bill on the professional accreditation and registration of social workers.
