MGM urges govt to ‘modernise’ licensing process

MGM China CEO and Executive Director Grant Bowie said yesterday it was “probably time” for the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) to “modernise the processes and procedures” for food and beverage ((F&B) licence applications.

Bowie made the remarks on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the first learning centre run by the Salvation Army (Macau) in Macau. It is located in Iao Hon district.

MGTO announced last week that 13 restaurants had operated without licences for three years at City of Dreams (COD) in Cotai, eight of which were ordered to close.
