The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a 24-year-old mainlander surnamed Zhang on Tuesday for drug trafficking by receiving orders via a mobile chat application, a PJ spokesperson said during a special press conference yesterday.
According to the spokesperson, the police received a tip-off several days before the arrest that a man from the mainland had been selling drugs in Macau.Following the tip-off, the police identified the suspect and confirmed that he was staying at a hotel in Cotai. The police kept the suspect under surveillance and saw him leaving his hotel room on Tuesday night.
