The Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) and the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) yesterday held a meeting with sitting lawmakers in the building of the Legislative Assembly (AL) about guidelines for the direct and indirect legislative elections in the autumn.

The elections will take place on September 17. The Chinese and Portuguese versions of the guidelines, which the committee released yesterday, are available on the committee’s website.

Addressing the two-hour meeting, CAEAL President Tong Hio Fong elaborated on some details of the guidelines. According to Tong, his committee will request website service providers to remove any information published in breach of election rules if his committee finds any such information on the Internet.
