Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) President Leong Hio Ming said yesterday that the exterior of the long-defunct Lok Kok Restaurant, which is listed as a heritage site, will be preserved.
The restaurant was once one of the city’s most popular tea houses. Its name refers to the six states during the Qin Dynasty.

The remarks were made in response to a resident who allegedly witnessed construction work going on recently in the badly dilapidated building and spoke about the issue during a phone-in radio programme yesterday morning.
