Grand Lisboa Palace (GLP) said in a statement yesterday that three of its signature restaurants, namely Palace Garden, Mesa and the Book Lounge are preparing dining experiences for both Valentine’s Days – East and West.

The statement noted that for Chinese Valentine’s Day on Sunday, Palace Garden will present the eight-course “Chinese Valentine’s Day Special Petit Fours” dinner menu for 1,888 patacas. The menu features Crystal King Tiger Prawns, Yellow Croaker steamed with 20 years vintage “Hua Diao” wine, among others.

On Western Valentine’s Day, February 14, couples can also choose from a six-course dinner menu priced at 1,888 patacas per person or an eight-course set dinner for 2,688 patacas per person. The Spa at THE KARL LAGERFELD is also giving away Valentine’s spa vouchers worth 500 patacas, according to the statement.

The statement said that Mesa is also preparing dinner menus for Valentine’s Day on February 14 and China’s “520 Day” of romance on May 20. Couples can choose from the three-course menus “Forever”, “Infinity” and “Diamond”. In Putonghua, “520” sounds similar to “I love you”.

“Forever” starts from 1,988 patacas per couple, while “Infinity” starts at 3,888 patacas per couple and includes a floral bouquet and a bottle of champagne. Diamond is priced at 5,888 patacas per couple also includes a bouquet and champagne, with the menu exclusively served in the Private Dining Room.

The “Forever” and “Infinity” menus feature starters, seafood towers, prime meat or seafood dishes and a dessert buffet at the restaurant. Mesa’s resident mixologist has also created two cocktails and mocktails: “Frozen in Love” and “Love Sensation”.

Moreover, the statement noted that afternoon tea priced at 688 patacas with two complimentary drinks will be available at The Book Lounge from tomorrow through Western Valentine’s Day (February 14), the statement said, featuring sweet and savoury options. Its mixologist will also prepare a “Bless of Venus” cocktail, a “Cupid Arrow” mocktail, and sparkling tea.
