Macau Health Code to display latest NAT record: govt

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre said in a statement yesterday that changes will be made to the Macau Health Code Page effective from 00:00 today to simplify the display of people’s latest NAT status and in response to the government’s COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures.

The changes to be made include the updated Macau Health Code having the section “Nucleic acid test (For border-crossing purpose)”, instead of showing the expiration date of one’s negative NAT report for travelling to and from Guangdong province and the Hong Kong SAR right under “Nucleic acid test result”, the statement noted. Relevant information, the statement added, will be provided on a pop-up window by selecting “Click here to view the respective expiry dates for travelling to different areas”.

Moreover, the statement underlined that a “Nucleic acid test (Not for border-crossing purpose)” section will be added to the health code page that shows “the last NAT sampling date and time, and the last report date, time, and result within 7 days”. This includes NAT tests conducted in Macau and those conducted in the mainland where Macau Health Code conversion is possible, according to the statement.

The statement also said that the enquiry system for NAT sampling records and test results launched during the early rounds of citywide NAT programme will be shut down simultaneously with the launch of the improved health code’s interface.

Members of the public will be able to check their NAT sampling records and test results through the health code with “greater convenience”.

Moreover, the statement pointed out that the “time of last sampling is not chronologically related to the time of the last report”. As an example, the statement said, if a person completed their NAT and obtained the result on the previous day, when he or she takes another NAT the next morning, his or her last sampling record would be according to the date and time of the test conducted the next morning, and the last report date would be that of the test conducted on the previous day.
