According to a statement by the centre, the 66 cases were confirmed between 00.00 and 23:59 yesterday (June 30).

Macau's tally of confirmed and asymptomatic COVID-19 cases since January 2020 stands at 264 confirmed and 606 asymptomatic cases respectively, according to this afternoon's website of the Health Bureau (SSM). No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Macau.

In the current outbreak, the oldest patient is aged 100, the youngest is eight months old.

All people in Macau are required to self-test for COVID-19 today and tomorrow. The government has distributed free rapid antigen test (RAT) kits among the population. The self-tests today and tomorrow are mandatory. An app has been set up to send the results to the Health Bureau.

The government has carried out three mandatory nucleic acid test (NAT) drives for all people in Macau since last week. The tests were also free of charge.

Macau reported its first novel coronavirus case on January 22, 2020.

The Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) has been closely coordinating its anti-COVID-19 measures with the National Health Commission (NHC) in Beijing. Macau follows the mainland's dynamic zero-COVID policy that is focused on preventing fatalities and serious cases.
